Bond and release

Larimer County bond types, payment methods and release checks

Bonds can be posted 24 hours a day. First read every charge and hold in the inmate result. Paying one bond may not cause release when another case, warrant or agency hold remains.

Refund recipient and surety designation

Under Colorado law, a cash deposit is returned by the court clerk after the defendant is discharged from bond liability. A person posting funds may elect to be listed as surety so the refund is returned to that depositor rather than to the defendant.

When posting online and requesting surety status or co-signing a cash bond, the depositor’s name must match the name on the bond and the required form must be submitted within ten minutes of depositing the funds.

Can I call an inmate directly?

No. Inmates make outgoing collect or prepaid calls. Incoming calls and staff-delivered personal messages are not available. Ordinary calls are limited to 15 minutes and are monitored and recorded.
