Larimer County Booking Search: Verify Custody, Charges, Bond and Court Status
A Larimer County arrest can create several records: a current jail entry, daily booking report, Sheriff incident file, booking photograph, warrant or docket number and a Colorado criminal court case.
This guide explains the information from those systems directly—search fields, report rules, fees, bond types, mail addresses, call limits, deposit instructions, court contacts and record-sealing paths. Leave this page only when you are ready to perform a live search, submit a request, post a bond or order an official record.
Search by two or more letters of the last name.
2405 Midpoint Drive, Fort Collins.
Sheriff charge summaries go back to 2005.
Choose the source that answers your question
Use the current-inmate search. It can show the person’s birth date, Jail ID, inmate number, arrest information, agency, case reference, charges, bond and upcoming court dates.
Use the booking report. It supports a recent arrest date and arresting-agency filter and may show arrest location, arresting officer, charges, bonds and upcoming court dates.
Use the Eighth Judicial District court record. The Sheriff does not maintain final case dispositions such as dismissal, plea, judgment or sentence.

How the Larimer County booking report works
The daily booking report is better than the current-inmate search when you know the arrest occurred recently but do not know whether the person remains in custody.
Select the arrest date available in the recent-booking range.
Narrow the report by the listed arresting agency when known.
Open the individual record to examine charges, bond and court-date information.
| Field | What it helps establish | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| Inmate number | The person’s jail-system identifier. | Save it for jail and deposit questions. |
| Date of birth | A primary same-name verification field. | Compare it before relying on the result. |
| Hold reason | Why the jail is holding or processing the person. | Do not assume every hold is a new criminal arrest. |
| Arrest date and time | When the recorded arrest occurred. | Use it in report and court requests. |
| Arrest location | The place associated with the arrest entry. | Use it to identify jurisdiction and the report. |
| Arresting officer | The officer listed in the booking report. | Include it in a records request when helpful. |
| Arresting agency | The law-enforcement agency responsible for the arrest. | Request the incident narrative from that agency. |
| Authority and charge | The agency or court authority and booked allegation. | Compare it with the filed court charge. |
| Bond type and amount | The release condition listed for the charge. | Confirm all charges and holds before payment. |
| Upcoming court date | A scheduled court event known to the jail system. | Verify it with the Eighth Judicial District. |
How to interpret a Larimer County inmate result
| Field | Meaning | Limitation | Next action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jail ID | A jail identifier displayed for the person. | It is not the court case number. | Use it for bond or jail-related transactions when requested. |
| Inmate number | The inmate identifier used by the jail system. | It does not establish guilt. | Save it for custody and account questions. |
| Agency case number | The law-enforcement case reference. | It may differ from a court case number. | Use it when requesting the agency report. |
| Warrant or docket number | A warrant or court-related identifier connected with a charge. | Status may change after a judicial action. | Confirm the current court record. |
| Charge description | The allegation entered in the custody record. | It may be amended or not filed by a prosecutor. | Find the court complaint or information. |
| Bond type | The category of release security ordered. | Another charge or hold may prevent release. | Review every listed charge before posting bond. |
| Bond amount | The monetary amount connected to the listed bond. | Vendor or agent fees may be separate. | Confirm the payment method and refund recipient. |
| Resolved reason | Why a custody charge or hold is marked resolved in the jail system. | It may not be the final court disposition. | Obtain the official court disposition. |
| Sentence | A displayed term in years, months or days where applicable. | Other cases or credits may affect custody. | Review the sentencing order for formal details. |

Larimer County bond types, payment methods and release checks
Bonds can be posted 24 hours a day. First read every charge and hold in the inmate result. Paying one bond may not cause release when another case, warrant or agency hold remains.
| Bond type | What is required | Financial risk |
|---|---|---|
| PR / Personal Recognizance | The defendant signs without paying collateral. | The defendant may become liable for the stated amount after failure to appear. |
| PR-Cosign / PR-Surety | A second person signs as co-obligor. | The co-signer may be liable if the defendant fails to appear. |
| Cash / Cash-Surety | Full amount paid by an accepted method. | Funds can be forfeited after failure to appear. |
| Commercial surety | A licensed bonding agent posts the bond. | The agent generally charges a non-refundable fee of about 10–15%. |
| Property bond | Qualifying real estate is pledged through the Court Clerk. | Only land is accepted as collateral; vehicles and personal property are not accepted. |
Ways to post a cash bond
Use the kiosk at the jail entrance. The facility locator number is 280525.
Use AllPaid or call 1-888-604-7888. Processing charges may apply.
Jail staff accept cashier’s checks and money orders payable to the Court Clerk or Clerk of Courts.
Refund recipient and surety designation
Under Colorado law, a cash deposit is returned by the court clerk after the defendant is discharged from bond liability. A person posting funds may elect to be listed as surety so the refund is returned to that depositor rather than to the defendant.
