Clark County NV Arrest Records Search | Jail & Court 2026

Clark County, Nevada · Custody, police, bail and criminal-court guide

Clark County Booking Lookup: Connect the Jail Record to the Correct Court Outcome

Clark County arrest information is divided among the detention centre, arresting police agency, Justice Courts, the Eighth Judicial District Court and Nevada’s statewide criminal-history repository.

This guide explains what each system contains, what it excludes, how to find current custody, how to obtain older arrest information, how to post bail, how to visit or contact an inmate, and how to correct or seal a record.

Do not identify a person from a name or mugshot alone. Compare the birth date or age, inmate ID, arrest date, arresting agency and case number. Charges shown at booking are allegations and may later be amended, dismissed or resolved differently.

Choose the record that answers your Clark County question

1
Is the person held now?

Use the CCDC in-custody system or the detention search operated by the city that made the arrest.

2
What did police report?

Request the incident, arrest or probable-cause report from LVMPD, Henderson Police, North Las Vegas Police or the actual arresting agency.

3
What happened in court?

Search the township Justice Court for misdemeanours and early felony proceedings, then District Court after a felony bind-over.

4
Need older statewide history?

Request your Nevada fingerprint-based criminal history and compare it with local SCOPE and court records.

Best complete sequence: Find the custody record, save the inmate ID and cases, identify the arresting agency, locate the court docket and obtain the final disposition when accuracy matters.

Choose the task you need to complete

The official procedures are explained inside this article; action links are reserved for live searches, requests, payments and filings.

Custody jurisdiction

Clark County arrests can lead to four different detention systems

Clark County itself warns that a person may be housed within the arresting agency’s jurisdiction. Searching only CCDC can miss a person booked into a city detention facility.

Southern Nevada custody finder
Custody system Who may be held there Phone Best clue
Clark County Detention Center Many LVMPD arrests, county cases, people held for other jurisdictions and people awaiting Clark County court action. 702-671-3900 The record contains a CCDC inmate ID or Las Vegas Justice Court case number.
City of Las Vegas Detention Center Adults booked for qualifying misdemeanor offences within City of Las Vegas jurisdiction. 702-229-6444, option 3 The case is prosecuted in Las Vegas Municipal Court.
North Las Vegas detention People arrested within North Las Vegas jurisdiction. 702-633-1400 North Las Vegas Police made the arrest.
Henderson Detention Center People arrested within Henderson jurisdiction. 702-267-4652 Henderson Police made the arrest.
Strip jurisdiction: Many locations commonly described as “Las Vegas,” including much of the Strip, are in unincorporated Clark County rather than the incorporated City of Las Vegas. The exact incident location and arresting agency matter.
Result decoder

What the Clark County inmate-search fields mean

CCDC result fields explained
Field Meaning What it does not prove Next action
Inmate ID The identifier assigned in the CCDC system. It does not describe the final case outcome. Use it for all detention-related transactions.
Arrest date The date connected with the arrest event. It may differ from booking or filing dates. Use it to distinguish separate custody events.
Justice Court case A case number tied to early court proceedings. A felony may later receive a different District Court case number. Search Justice Court first, then check District Court after bind-over.
Charge The accusation connected with booking or the case. It is not a conviction and may later change. Read the formal charging document and final disposition.
Detainer Another agency, case or jurisdiction may require continued custody. Paying the local bail may not resolve the hold. Ask CCDC which agency controls the detainer.
Cash bail A listed amount that may be paid in full under the stated conditions. Payment does not guarantee immediate release. Confirm every case, hold and filing fee before paying.
Housing The current detention assignment. Housing can change for classification, medical, safety or operational reasons. Reconfirm before scheduling an onsite visit.
Scheduled department and action A currently listed court department, date or proceeding. Court schedules can change. Verify the event in the court portal shortly before appearance.
CCDC data is not an official certified court record. Clark County prohibits commercial use of the inmate-search data and warns that charges and release dates can change.
Troubleshooting

No Clark County inmate result found? Follow this order

Arrest occurred within the last few hours Identification, fingerprinting, medical screening and intake may still be in progress.
The city jail may have custody Search the City of Las Vegas, Henderson or North Las Vegas facility based on the arresting agency.
The person is under 18 Juvenile detainees are not displayed in the public CCDC system.
Protective custody applies Clark County excludes protective-custody inmates from the public results.
The name was recorded differently Try an alias, former name, compound surname, suffix or alternate spelling.
The person was released CCDC is a current-custody search, not a full historical booking archive.
The person was transferred Nevada Department of Corrections, federal authorities, another county or another state may now control custody.
A court record exists without custody The defendant may be released, on bail, cited, summoned or associated with an older case.
Call script for a missing record “I am trying to confirm whether [full legal name], date of birth [date], was booked after an arrest on [date] by [agency]. I have [report number or case number]. Can you confirm whether the person is in CCDC, released, transferred or held in another jurisdiction?”
Arrest-to-court timeline

What happens after a person is arrested in Clark County?

Agency arrest and report creation The officer or deputy creates the arrest, incident, probable-cause and related investigative records.
Facility intake and identification The detention centre records identity, property, fingerprints, initial charges and the agency responsible for the arrest.
Medical and classification screening Health, safety, behaviour and custody factors affect housing and services.
Bail and initial court review The court may address probable cause, bail, release conditions, counsel and future hearings.
Prosecutor filing decision The prosecutor may file the arrest charge, change it, add or remove counts, or decline prosecution.
Justice Court proceeding Misdemeanours may remain in Justice Court. Felony and gross misdemeanor cases generally use Justice Court for initial proceedings and preliminary review.
District Court bind-over A felony or gross misdemeanor sent forward for trial receives District Court handling and may receive a new case number.
Disposition and possible sealing The case may end through dismissal, acquittal, plea or conviction. Eligible records may later be sealed through the proper court process.

Nevada criminal history

How to obtain a fingerprint-based Nevada record

Nevada’s Central Repository maintains adult Nevada criminal-history information supported by arrest fingerprint cards. It can include misdemeanor, gross misdemeanor and felony events submitted by Nevada criminal-justice agencies.

What is generally included

Nevada arrests and detention
Formal charges and indictments
Dismissals and acquittals
Convictions and sentences
Correctional supervision
Probation and parole information

What is not the same as a Nevada criminal history

Police narrative

Request the incident or arrest report from the agency that created it.

Ordinary traffic charges

Nevada does not index ordinary traffic charges in criminal history; felony DUI is an exception.

Nationwide FBI history

A Nevada personal record does not automatically provide records from every state or the FBI.

Request routes

Choose electronic or manual submission Electronic requests can be initiated from within Nevada. Out-of-state applicants must use the manual process.
Complete the required personal-history form Follow the current Nevada Repository instructions and provide complete identity information.
Obtain a rolled ten-print fingerprint card when required Use a law-enforcement agency or authorised fingerprint provider.
Confirm the exact current fee Manual requests require exact payment by cashier’s check or money order under the Repository’s current instructions.

Record sealing

How to seal Clark County arrest and criminal records

Sealing is not destruction. A sealing order removes qualifying records from general information sources but does not physically destroy them. Limited authorised access can remain.

General conviction waiting periods in Clark County guidance

Nevada sealing waiting periods
Record type General period Period begins after
Category A or B felony 15 years Release from custody or discharge from parole or probation, whichever is later.
Category C or D felony 12 years Release from custody or discharge from parole or probation, whichever is later.

Dismissal or acquittal A petition may generally be filed after dismissal or acquittal The court must find that no further action is expected.
Some offences cannot be sealed. Nevada excludes specified sexual offences and crimes against children. Active cases, warrants, incomplete waiting periods and missing dispositions can also prevent approval.

Documents to collect before preparing the petition

Current verified Nevada Criminal History Report
Local SCOPE or histories from every involved agency
Date of every arrest or citation
Name of every arresting agency
Every original and final charge
Final disposition for every entry
Agency report and court case numbers
List of every record custodian to be served

Choose the correct jurisdiction

Municipal Court record

Submit the sealing request through the city attorney and Municipal Court that handled the case.

Justice Court record

Use the proper Clark County township heading and the Justice or District Court forms applicable to the case.

Multiple townships or District Court

The Eighth Judicial District Court can be used for qualifying Justice and District Court charges throughout Clark County.

Clark County stipulation workflow

Obtain current histories Collect the Nevada Repository report and local histories from every agency maintaining an arrest.
Obtain missing dispositions Request written proof from the court or arresting agency when the history does not show the final outcome.
Confirm eligibility Check waiting periods, excluded offences, open cases, warrants and dismissals without prejudice.
Prepare the petition and order List each arrest date, agency, charge, disposition and known report or case number directly in the forms.
Name every record custodian Include courts, prosecutors, police agencies, CCDC, Nevada Repository and other known public or private holders.
Submit the package to the District Attorney Take the original and at least one copy of the petition, affidavit, proposed order and supporting records to 200 Lewis Avenue, third-floor reception.
Follow up after three to four weeks Call 702-671-2765 when no response has been received.
File with the correct court After stipulation—or when requesting a judicial hearing—file the documents and pay any applicable court fee.
Obtain certified signed orders Request enough certified copies for every agency named in the order and keep one permanently.
Serve every agency Unless the judge orders otherwise, the petitioner is responsible for delivering the signed order to each named custodian.
Expected timeline: Nevada Repository guidance says sealing commonly takes two to four months. Processing after the Repository receives an order can take additional time, especially when information is incomplete.

Frequently asked questions

Clark County arrest record questions answered

How do I search Clark County arrest records?

Use the CCDC search for current custody. For prior arrests, obtain an LVMPD SCOPE or agency history, request the arrest report and search the appropriate Justice, Municipal or District Court.

Does the CCDC search show released inmates?

No. The online system contains people currently listed in CCDC custody. A released person may disappear from the result even though police and court records still exist.

What information can I enter in the CCDC search?

Use the inmate’s name, inmate ID or Las Vegas Justice Court case number. Enter only one field and use at least two letters of the last name.

Why can I not find a known arrest?

The person may still be in intake, may be held in a city facility, may be under 18 or in protective custody, or may have been released or transferred.

How much is an LVMPD SCOPE record?

Effective July 1, 2026, LVMPD charges $13. A person may obtain only their own SCOPE background check.

How much is the Clark County bail filing fee?

The published filing fee is $50 for every bail bond. It must accompany the bail payment.

How much is a remote CCDC video visit?

A 25-minute remote visit costs $4.75, or $0.19 per minute, effective April 6, 2026.

How do I find the final court outcome?

Search the relevant Justice Court first. For a felony bound over for trial, search the Eighth Judicial District Court and obtain the judgment or final disposition.

How do I correct an arrest that belongs to someone else?

Use the LVMPD Records Challenge process for an LVMPD history, or contact the Nevada Repository for a statewide record. Prepare identification, fingerprints and supporting official documents.

How long does Clark County record sealing take?

The process commonly takes several months. Delays occur when histories, dispositions, agency lists or petition details are incomplete.
