How to read a Clark County inmate result

CCDC fields and practical next actions

Inmate ID The identifier assigned within the detention system. It does not explain the final criminal case outcome. Use it for mail, deposits, visits, calls and information requests.
Arrest date The date linked to the arrest event. It may differ from booking, filing or first-appearance dates. Use it to distinguish separate arrests.
Related case A Justice Court or other case reference connected with custody. It may not be the later District Court case number. Search the case in the relevant court system.
Detainer Another case, agency or jurisdiction may have an interest in continued custody. Payment of local bail may not clear the detainer. Ask which agency controls the hold.
Cash bail An amount that may be paid in full under the stated conditions. It does not guarantee immediate release. Confirm all cases, holds and payment instructions first.
Surety bail A bond may be posted through a qualified surety or bail-bond process. It does not remove other holds. Verify the exact case and filing fee.
Charge The allegation connected with booking or the related case. It is not proof of guilt and may later change. Check the prosecutor filing and court disposition.
Release status The person may be processing for release, transferred or no longer in custody. Release does not mean the case was dismissed. Confirm physical release and search the court case.
Identity rule: Use at least two independent identifiers. A matching name is not enough to send money, publish an accusation or contact an employer.

City detention

When to search the City of Las Vegas Detention Center

The city states that adults arrested for misdemeanor offences within City of Las Vegas limits are booked into its detention centre. This is separate from CCDC.

The related charge is commonly a misdemeanor prosecuted in Las Vegas Municipal Court.

Release information

The city does not provide exact release times. Releases occur at 3300 E. Stewart Avenue.

How to obtain a Las Vegas police or arrest report

LVMPD provides incident, traffic collision and arrest reports through its Records and Fingerprint Bureau. A report is released only when it is eligible based on case status, confidentiality rules and the requester’s involvement.

Wait before requesting: LVMPD advises allowing up to 10 business days after a report is filed before it becomes available for dissemination.

No refund for wrong-account deposits. Clark County states that deposited funds are not refunded and the sender is responsible for entering the correct inmate.

How to obtain your Nevada criminal history record

The Central Repository for Nevada Records of Criminal History maintains Nevada arrest, detention, formal charge, disposition, sentence, correctional-supervision, parole and probation information submitted by Nevada criminal-justice agencies.

This is not a nationwide FBI report. Nevada Repository records originate from Nevada criminal-justice agencies and do not automatically include other states or federal records.

Public court indexes

Court indexes, public proceedings, decisions and opinions are maintained separately.

Ordinary traffic misdemeanors

Nevada does not index standard traffic charges in criminal history. DUI can be treated differently when it reaches felony status.

LVMPD criminal history update

LVMPD provides a no-fee update process for its local criminal history. The service covers:

  • Adding an arrest or criminal-citation disposition
  • Updating a legal name
  • Recording a deceased-person notification
Required documents: Attach the court disposition for a case update, legal documentation for a name change or a death certificate for a deceased notification. A legible valid photo ID is also required.
Use the correct process: Sealing is not a criminal-history update. Identity theft, incorrect records and another person’s information require a records challenge. Warrant disputes must be handled with the court.

Nevada Repository challenge

How to seal Las Vegas arrest and criminal records

Sealing is not destruction. A Nevada sealing order removes qualifying records from general public information sources, but the records are not physically destroyed and can remain available for limited authorised purposes.

SCOPE status: Clark County states that an LVMPD SCOPE is no longer statutorily required, but it can still help identify Clark County arrests and prepare complete sealing documents. A current Nevada Repository Criminal History Report is required for the Clark County District Attorney stipulation process.

Municipal Court cases

City-prosecuted Municipal Court arrests and convictions must follow the city attorney and Municipal Court sealing process.

Justice or District Court cases

The Clark County District Attorney stipulation process may be used for qualifying county-prosecuted cases.

Multiple Clark County townships

District Court forms may be appropriate when a petition includes Justice Court matters from multiple townships.

Clark County sealing workflow

Obtain the current criminal histories Request the Nevada Repository CHR and gather local agency records needed to identify every arrest.
Obtain missing dispositions Request the final outcome from the court or arresting agency when the history is incomplete.
Confirm statutory eligibility Verify the waiting period, case closure, active cases, warrants and excluded offences.
Prepare the petition and order Include arrest date, agency, charge, final disposition, identifying numbers and every record custodian.
Submit county cases to the District Attorney The Clark County DA reviews qualifying Justice and District Court petitions for possible stipulation.
